International Coastal Cleanup 2021

KIBCU's 9th year participating in this cleanup! The Ocean Conservancy partners with organizations and individuals around the globe to clean up the world’s beaches and waterways. Over nearly three decades, the annual International Coastal Cleanup has mobilized millions of people in the world's largest volunteer effort for our ocean and waterways.

This is different than our other regularly scheduled cleanups in that we record ALL the debris we collect onto a Data Card. At the end of the cleanup, KIBCU tallies up all the debris and sends them to the Ocean Conservancy (OC). The OC then places all the data from the worldwide event into a "Trash Free Seas" Report which can be used to help fight for policy changes locally and nationally. In the last 8 years, KIBCU has contributed to the International Coastal Cleanups grand total of debris collected!About the Cleanup:
