Kent Island Beach Cleanups (KIBCU) is an organization whose mission is to protect and preserve the beauty of the beaches, parks, and estuaries of Kent Island, MD through regular cleanups, education, awareness, social and communal responsibility and advocacy. KIBCU is a true, grassroots, nonprofit environmental organization based in Stevensville, Maryland. We are a 501 (c)(3) and your donation is tax deductible. Here at KIBCU, our Board Members do not receive a salary so 100% of your donation goes directly back into our mission and cause.

Kent Island and Queen Anne’s County is a special place to live and visit. We want to ensure that everyone can enjoy the beauty that this little island gives us for many years to come. We cannot do this if our beloved Chesapeake Bay and other waterways continues to become polluted with garbage like single-use plastics, Styrofoam, cigarettes, and more. All these debris are the deadliest to our ecosystem as they contain harmful chemicals that endanger the animals that call the ocean home, and they never truly go away.  These items will be here on this Earth longer than all of us. But it does not have to be that way! Individuals like you who offer financial support help us continue in our mission to serve our community and make it possible for our grassroots group to assist where we work hard to make our beaches and parks a great place to visit for all.
